FNM Trading

Just two trades one Friday but they got me 6 bucks in value. The foil Genesis Wave was a bit hit, tons of people said they wanted it but the winner ended up trading in an Abrupt Decay for it, a nice 2 dollar profit. And the Mondronen Shaman Prerelease Promo went to a guy building standard Werewolves so he was happy to over trade with an Oblivion Stone, netting me $4.

Current Total: $94.61

Mid Week Trading

Hit the store tonight for some casual commander games and got a few trades going, not a whole lot of value added to the project but still nice to have. The small gains add up after a while for sure.

First the Vampire Nocturnus and the Moonsilver Spear traded for a number of lower priced but interesting cards. Personal Sanctuary, Door to Nothingness, Laboratory Maniac, Izzet Charm and Crusader of Odric. Now these alone wouldn't be enough for the two cards but the crowning jewel of the trade was an Akroma's Memorial. These things are so easy to move, some one is always looking for one and truth be told I knew some one who would love one when I got the card. In fact I made the trade for it just a few minutes later.

The Memorial traded for a Dreadbore and a Selesnya Charm. Bringing our current total value to $88.61.

Quick Update

Another weekend of magic is quickly approaching and the goal for this weekend is to try and break the $100 barrier. We got a little already in a trade of the Voriniclex and the Conjurer's Closet for a Rakdos's Return. So that helps for sure. Puts us right around 86 bucks

Finals are done, so here is an update on what happened since PreRelease

Ok so school and a full time job made getting this site updated a pain in the ass but I did some work for the project and we have jumped up int he value for sure. Prerelease Trades

This weekend at Prerelease I made a few good trades. All of it started with a Scorched Ruin. For this land I was offered a Glacial Fortress and a Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur.

A $3.99 card turned into two cards worth $5.98. Before I could even get Jin into the binder some one made a trade for him, offering a Thrun, the Last Troll that had a slight warp to it, and a Seachrome Coast.

One $2.99 card for $7.48 in cards. Not a bad day of trading. A gain of 6.48 for the trade project, bringing our total to $49.58. Not bad since it started with a foil mountain that cost a buck.

Small Trade

This last Friday I only made one trade, but it was a decent one: Praetor's Grasp for Prophetic Bolt It only gained me maybe 50 cents but it was a nice doubling of card value and it is a card that hopefully will attract some attention since it is the alt art one form the dual deck. The project had a ton of black in it so mixing it up might help.

Summer Trades

So the end of summer was a bit crazy with trying to drag out the fun till the bitter end. A lot of trades happened while I was travelling and I failed to keep track of what went for what. We will be starting fresh with what we have now.

Cards I had last post:

Unburial Rites
Voidslime
Requiem Angel
Devastation Tide
Mycosynth Lattice

Of these five cards only one is still in the binder, the Requiem Angel.

So here is what I now have in the project:

Requiem Angel
Fact or Fiction
Infinite Reflection
Mistbind Clique
Spirit Away
Demonic Rising
Fiend of Shadows
Gloom Surgeon
Gravecrawler (Foil)
Harvester of Souls
Praetor's Grasp
Surgical Extraction
2x Zombie Apocalypse
Krenko, Mob Boss (Foil)
Mondronen Shaman (Promo Foil)
Bloodbond March (Foil)
Scorched Ruins

Things have changed quite a bit and the value has jumped a ton. According to StarCity Prices we have broken the $40 mark. We are closing in on some really cool cards, like shocks and maybe a revised dual. Those would be a really cool addition, so we will have to see where this goes.
